A petition is filed in the Supreme Court to cancel CBSE 12th exams 2021. The petition added the CBSE Class 12 result 2021 be released based on an ‘objective methodology’.

Check NowNEW DELHI: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking the cancellation of CBSE board exams 2021. The petition has been filed by advocate Mamta Sharma. The petition also requested to announce the CBSE Class 12 result 2021 on an ‘objective methodology’ within a particular timeframe.

“Conducting Class 12 board examination is not possible because of surging COVID-19 cases. Even online or offline examinations not feasible because of an unprecedented pandemic. Delay in the declaration of Class 12 results will hamper students taking admission in foreign universities”, the petition said, according to the NDTV report.
The petition added, "CBSE and CISCE must devise an object methodology to declare the results within the specified time otherwise it will affect around 12 lakh students.”
The NDTV report further added that CBSE on the other hand refuted the media reports and said, “It is clarified that no such decision has been taken regarding CBSE Class 12 examinations as being speculated in certain sections of media. Any decision taken in this matter will be officially communicated to the public.”
Central Board of Secondary Education has postponed the CBSE 12th exams 2021 due to the rapid increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the nation. The exams were scheduled to be held from May 4 to June 14, 2021. The board in a previous notice has said that the situation will be reviewed on June 1, 2021, and 15 days prior notice will be given before the commencement of the CBSE board exam 2021.
