The board will conduct the Class 12 English elective and core subject exam today, February 24, 2023. The English exam paper will have three sections -- reading, writing and literature. The exam will be held for a duration of three hours from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm for a total of 80 marks. The reading section will be for 20 marks, the writing section for 20 marks and the literature section for 40 marks.

It is mandatory for candidates to carry the CBSE Class 12 admit card 2023. Without the admit card candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
Along with the admit card, candidates are required to carry their school identity card. Pen, pencil, eraser, ruler and other permitted items mentioned in the guidelines are allowed to carry inside the exam hall.

CBSE 2023 Class 12 English paper: Exam day instructions
- Students are required to report at the examination centre half an hour before the exam begins.
- Students are required to come for the exam in their school uniforms.
- No one will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the stipulated time.
- It is compulsory to carry the board exam admit card and school ID proof.
- Barred items are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
- Students will be given 15 minutes extra time to read the question paper.
- Students are advised to read all the instructions mentioned on the CBSE admit card 2023.
