• The Mathematics question paper for the 12th grade CBSE exam consisted of a total of 38 questions. The paper was divided into five sections, namely A, B, C, D, and E. 
• Section A comprised of questions numbered I to 18, which were multiple choice questions (MCQs). Questions number 19 and 20 in this section were Assertion-Reason based questions, each carrying 1 mark.
• Moving on to Section B, questions numbered 21 to 25 were very short answer (VSA) type questions, with each question carrying 2 marks.
• Section C consisted of questions numbered 26 to 31, which were short answer (SA) type questions. Each question in this section carried 3 marks.
• In Section D, questions numbered 32 to 35 were long answer (LA) type questions, with each question carrying 5 marks.
• Lastly, Section E contained questions numbered 36 to 38, which were case study-based questions. Each question in this section carried 4 marks.

The UP High School and Intermediate exams conducted by the UP Board were concluded today. Following this, over 55 lakh students will eagerly await the announcement of their results. According to sources within the board, if all goes according to plan and with the approval of the Election Commission, the results are expected to be announced by the end of April or at the latest, in the first week of May. It is worth noting that last year, the evaluation of answer scripts was finalized by March 31, leading to the record-breaking announcement of results on April 25.

CBSE is providing schools that have not yet completed conducting and uploading practical marks with an additional opportunity to do so. These schools will be able to conduct Practical Examinations/Projects/Internal Assessments/Internal Grades and submit the marks by March 31, 2024.

The CBSE Class 10th exam is being held from February 15 to March 13, 2024

The CBSE Class 10 Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic exams are scheduled on March 11, 2024. Also, the CBSE Class 12 exam will be of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) on the same date.

• According to him, some tricky questions and competency-based questions made the students apply their acquired knowledge. The paper was easy to moderate. Few MCQs are tricky. It was planned in a way that those who have followed NCERT will be able to perform well.
• The mix of question types allowed for a comprehensive assessment of student's knowledge and skills. The students were challenged to think creatively and apply their knowledge in innovative ways, demonstrating a higher level of understanding. This approach not only tested their mathematical skills but also fostered a more holistic learning experience.
• Overall, the paper was well-balanced and favoured students who had prepared diligently.

The CBSE board Class 10 exams are being held between February 15 and March 13, 2024. The announcement of the results is expected in May 2024. Likewise, the CBSE 12th exams are being held from February 15 to April 2, 2024, with the declaration of results expected in the first week of May 2024.

Students felt that the Integration questions evaluated their comprehension level. The difficulty level of the CBSE Class 12 Maths question paper was higher in comparison to the CBSE Class 12 sample question paper. Furthermore, the question paper was lengthy and required a significant amount of time. A majority of the students found "Section D" to be difficult and time-consuming. The questions in the exam varied in difficulty, ranging from moderate to challenging. Most of the questions required critical thinking and practical application. The questions based on case studies were comparatively easier. Overall, the paper presented a difficulty level that ranged from challenging to moderate, accommodating the needs of all types of students.

• The question paper was also lengthy and time-consuming. Most students felt “Section D” was difficult and time-consuming.
• The questions on the exam ranged in difficulty from moderate to challenging. Most of the questions required students to use critical thinking and application.
• Questions based on case studies were easy.
• Overall a challenging to moderate paper as far as the difficulty level is concerned, with a balanced approach for all kinds of students.

• STATISTICS- Mean, median and mode of grouped data (bimodal situation to be avoided).
• PROBABILITY- Classical definition of probability. Simple problems on finding the probability of an event.  

• AREAS RELATED TO CIRCLES- Area of sectors and segments of a circle. Problems based on areas and perimeter/circumference of the above-said plane figures. (In calculating the area of a segment of a circle, problems should be restricted to the central angles of 60°, 90°, and 120° only. 
• SURFACE AREAS AND VOLUMES- Surface areas and volumes of combinations of any two of the following: cubes, cuboids, spheres, hemispheres, and right circular cylinders/cones.

• POLYNOMIALS- Zeros of a polynomial. Relationship between zeros and coefficients of quadratic polynomials. 
• PAIR OF LINEAR EQUATIONS IN TWO VARIABLES- Pair of linear equations in two variables and graphical method of their solution, consistency/inconsistency. Algebraic conditions for number of solutions. Solution of a pair of linear equations in two variables algebraically - by substitution, by elimination. Simple situational problems. 
• QUADRATIC EQUATIONS- Standard form of a quadratic equation ax2 + bx + c = 0, (a ≠ 0). Solutions of quadratic equations (only real roots) by factorization, and by using quadratic formula. • ARITHMETIC PROGRESSIONS- Motivation for studying Arithmetic Progression Derivation of the nth term and sum of the first n terms of A.P. and their application in solving daily life problems.
