CBSE 2026 Class 12 Computer Science: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will hold the Class 12 examinations for computer science, Information Technology(IT), and Information Practices((IP) on March 25, 2026. The exam will be conducted in a single shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at designated centres across the country.

Students are required to report to their exam centres by 9:30 am. A 15-minute reading period will be provided from 10:15 am to 10:30 am, allowing candidates to go through the question paper before writing begins. As per CBSE guidelines, entry to the examination hall will not be permitted after 10:00 am.
Each paper will carry a total of 100 marks, including 70 marks for the theory exam and 30 marks for practical assessment. To qualify in the CBSE Board Exams 2026, students must obtain at least 33% marks in each subject, covering both theory and internal assessment components. For subjects with practical components, candidates must pass theory and practical sections separately and secure a minimum Grade D.
After the examination, students may refer to unofficial answer keys and solutions released by coaching institutes and subject experts to assess their performance and estimate probable scores.
Students appearing for the CBSE Class 12 Computer Science, IT, IP board exam must strictly follow the below instructions issued by the board to avoid any inconvenience on the exam day;
Reach the exam centre by 9:30 am to complete entry formalities on time.
Entry to the exam hall will not be allowed after 10:00 am.
Carry the CBSE admit card; entry without it will be denied.
Arrive 30–45 minutes early to avoid last-minute delays.
Question paper and answer booklet will be distributed at 10:15 am.
Use the 15-minute reading time (10:15–10:30 am) to go through the paper carefully.
Fill in all required details on the answer sheet during the reading time.
Follow all instructions given by invigilators inside the exam hall.
Do not carry any unauthorised items to the examination centre.
Maintain discipline and adhere to CBSE exam rules throughout the exam.
Updates on answer keys and paper analysis will be available after the exam concludes. CBSE does not release official answer keys for board exams. However, coaching institutes and subject experts usually publish unofficial answer keys and detailed analyses shortly after the exam, helping students evaluate their responses and estimate scores.
