The section-wise analysis for the CBSE 12th CS paper, as per subject experts from JAIN International Residential School Bengaluru, is as follows:

• Section A had a range of concepts through varied question types, including MCQs, output-tracing, and assertion-reason questions, ensuring syllabus coverage in a concise format.
• Section B questions assessed students’ short-answer skills through a mix of debugging, output prediction, SQL commands, and definitions.
• Section C questions were application-focused and demanded both logical reasoning and programming knowledge.
• Section D has questions from “real-world scenarios” to test SQL querying, CSV handling, and Python-MySQL connectivity, effectively bridging theory with practical programming skills.
• While Section E questions assessed students’ over-knowledge of the subject.

“Overall, this is a commendable paper that fairly assesses students across all difficulty levels and topic areas,” the subject experts added.

CBSE 12 Informatics Practices Exam Analysis 2026

Class 12 IP paper was “well-structured” and aligned with the prescribed CBSE syllabus. It was student-friendly in nature, favoring a clear understanding of fundamental concepts over rote learning. The questions were highly inclusive, covering all topics from Data Handling using Pandas to SQL Queries and Computer Networks.

“The language used in the questions was direct, reducing the risk of students misinterpreting the requirements,” another subject expert said.
