CBSE asks UGC to direct institutes to await CBSE Class 12 result 2022 for UG admission: Report
CBSE had written to UGC after the Mumbai University had begun the UG admission process. The CBSE Class 12 results 2022 are expected to be out by July 15.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has urged the University Grants Commission (UGC) to direct all institutes to begin the undergraduate (UG) admission process keeping the CBSE Class 12 result date 2022 in mind.

“It has come to the notice that some universities in India, especially in Maharashtra, have started registration in undergraduate courses for the session (2022-23) and their last date is in the first week of July,” CBSE in a letter to UGC said, according to the Indian Express report.
The CBSE Board further wrote, “It is, therefore, requested that all the universities may please be directed to fix the last date of their undergraduate admission process keeping in mind the date of result declaration of Class XII by CBSE,” as per the report.
“According to sources in the UGC, the regulator will issue an advisory to all universities next week,” it added.
The report said that the CBSE had written to the UGC on June 28 stating that it required a month to prepare CBSE results 2022.

Meanwhile, Mumbai University has released the second merit list 2022 for several MU colleges. The University of Mumbai affiliated colleges such as Thakur College, Rizvi College and St. Xavier’s on July 7 released the MU second merit list 2022. The document verification for Mumbai University 2022 second merit list will be held till July 13.
Mumbai University offers admissions to various undergraduate programmes such as BCom, BAF, BMS, BSc IT, BSc, Computer Science, BA, BBI and BSc Biotechnology.
The university will release the third UG merit list 2022 on July 14. The document verification process for the Mumbai University 3rd merit list 2022 will be conducted from July 14 to 16.
As per reports, the CBSE is expected to declare the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 results by July 15, 2022. However, states including Tamil Nadu have started the UG admission process for the upcoming academic year.
