CBSE Board to announce Class 10, 12 exam result dates at cbse.gov.in soon

NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education Class 10 and 12 students will receive the CBSE board result 2023 soon. The official date of the release of the result will be announced on the CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.

Pass percentage

The pass percentage for Class 10 CBSE board exams was 94.4% while the pass percentage for Class 12 CBSE board exams was at 92.71% last year. CBSE had declared board exam results on September 7 for Class 12 and September 9 for Class 10.

Last year, CBSE board exams were held in two terms. For Class 10, the board exams term two were conducted from April 26 to May 24. For Class 12, cbse board exams for term two were from April 26 to June 15.

CBSE marking scheme

The CBSE marking scheme of each subject of Class 12 and Class 10 can be downloaded from the official website of CBSE academics: cbseacademic.nic.in.

To download the marking scheme follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit official website of CBSE cbseacademic.nic.in

Step 2: Click on “sample question papers” on top left corner of the screen

Step 3: Select the year “2022-2023”

Step 4: Select the Class 10 or 12

Step 5: A new tab will open with a list of subjects.

Step 6: Click on the “ms”(marking scheme) in front of concerned subject

CBSE board exams 2023 background

Class 10 students gave their CBSE board exams from February 15 onwards. The board exams ended on March 21. The exams consisted of 40% MCQs, 40% descriptive questions and 20% competency based questions. Class 12 students appeared for CBSE board exams 2023 from February 15 to April 5. The practical exams of Class 12 began on January 2 and ended on February 14. Most exams were held in the 10:30 am to 1:30 pm time slot. In the 2023 CBSE board exams, the board went back to the annual exam pattern. The exam was based on the complete Class 12 syllabus. The exam consisted of 20% MCQs, 30% competency based questions and 50% descriptive questions.

During COVID-19, 2020 onwards, CBSE had taken exams in two terms per split exam policy.
