CBSE board exam 2026 scheduled on March 3 postponed for Class 10, 12; revised date sheet out

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rescheduled the CBSE Board exam 2026 for Class 10 and 12 to be conducted on March 3 due to administrative reasons. CBSE Class 10, 12 students were scheduled to appear for minor subjects and legal studies respectively, on March 3.

The board will conduct the CBSE Class 10 board exam from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Earlier, the board issued guidelines and instructed students of Class 10 to divide the answer book in three sections in science and four sections in social science for writing answers.

“All other examination dates remain unchanged. Schools are requested to kindly disseminate this information to all concerned students and parents for their information and necessary action please,” the board said.

As per the CBSE Board exam date sheet 2026, on March 3 the CBSE Class 10 papers for minor subjects — Tibetan, German, National Cadet Corps, Bhoti, Bodo, Tangkhul, Japanese, Bhutia, Spanish, Kashmiri, Mizo, Bahasa Melayu — were to be conducted. The legal studies paper was slated for Class 12 on the same day.

These exams will now be conducted after all the papers are conducted on March 11 and April 10 for Class 10 and 12 respectively. The revised CBSE board exam date sheet 2026 will be issued along with the admit cards for both classes 10 and 12, it said.

The CBSE Class 10 final board exam 2026 will be held between February 17 to March 11 and Class 12 from February 17 to April 10.
