NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CBSE Class 10 and 12 date sheet 2022 for term 1 major and minor subjects. As students buckle up for the CBSE board Class 10, 12 term 1 exams, it is important for them to know the exam pattern. Students can download the CBSE Board exam 2021 date sheet from the official website cbse.gov.in or can click here.

CBSE is offering 114 subjects in Class 12 and 75 subjects in Class 10, taking the total number of exams conducted by the board to 189 subjects. If the board conducts an exam for all these subjects, the duration will be 40-45 days. To avoid the learning loss of students, CBSE has divided subjects into two parts- major and minor subjects- as per the board’s official notice.

The CBSE Class 10 exam date 2022 will begin from November 30 to December 11, 2021. The CBSE Class 12 exams for major subjects will be held from December 1 to December 22.

Whereas the CBSE Class 10 exam dates for the minor subjects will start from November 16 and the Class 12 exams will commence from November 17.

The CBSE term 1 Class 10, 12 question papers will be sent by the board to schools along with the marking scheme. The responses of students will be captured on OMR sheets which, after scanning may be directly uploaded at the CBSE portal or alternatively may be evaluated and marks obtained will be uploaded by the school on the very same day.

CBSE Board exam 2022: Term 1 exam pattern

  • The CBSE question paper will have multiple-choice questions (MCQ) including case-based MCQs and MCQs on assertion-reasoning type.
  • CBSE Class 10, 12 board examinations will be of 90 minuted duration.
  • The CBSE board exam will be held from 11.30 am instead of 10.30 am keeping in view of the winter session. Reading time will be 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes for all categories of candidates.
  • Practical, internal assessment, project will be completed before the CBSE Term 1 exams. 50% of the total marks will be allotted.

After the CBSE board term 1 exam, results in the form of marks scored will be declared. No students will be placed in pass, compartment, or essential repeat category after CBSE term 1 exam. Final results for CBSE Class 10 and 12 will be declared after the term 2 examinations.
