Download NowThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the deadline for direct admissions and subject change for CBSE board Class 10, 12 exams 2026. The board has emphasized the smooth and timely execution of the preparatory process for all schools affiliated with CBSE for the timely conduct of the exam.

The CBSE board has instructed all affiliated schools and stakeholders to strictly adhere to the prescribed timelines and guidelines.
“Accordingly, Principal/Heads of Institutions are solely responsible for ensuring that all admissions and subject-related changes are completed in accordance with the Board norms and within the stipulated time frame,” the CBSE notice said.
Furthermore, new CBSE regional offices have been established, and they will start functioning from September 2. The direct admissions and subject change cases, if any, will be sent to the parent regional offices in Prayagraj, Panchkula. Patna and Bhubanewar.
Besides new regional offices, the board has also established three sub-regional offices under the Guwahati Regional Office at Agartala, Itanagar, and Gangtok. CBSE Board 2026 direct admission and subject change cases of these three Sub-Regional Offices for 2025-26 will also be sent to the Guwahati Regional Office.
