Students are advised to reach their exam centres by 9:30 am. A 15-minute reading period will be given from 10:15 am to 10:30 am to go through the question paper before writing begins. Entry into the exam hall will not be permitted after 10:00 am, as per board guidelines.
The Biology paper will carry a total of 100 marks, with 70 marks for theory and 30 marks for practical assessment.
To qualify the CBSE Board Exams 2026, students must obtain a minimum of 33% marks in each subject, including theory and internal assessment components. For subjects involving practicals, candidates are required to pass both theory and practical exams separately and secure at least a Grade D.
Once the exam is over, students can refer to unofficial answer keys and solutions released by coaching institutes and experts to evaluate their expected scores.
CBSE Class 12 Biology: Exam day guidelines
Students appearing for the CBSE Class 12 Biology board exam are required to follow the below instructions issued by the board to ensure a smooth examination process;

Reach the examination centre at least 30–45 minutes before the reporting time to complete entry formalities smoothly.

Entry will not be allowed after the reporting time, so ensure you arrive on time.

Carry the CBSE-issued admit card mandatorily; without it, entry to the exam hall will be denied.

The question paper and answer booklet will be distributed 15 minutes before the exam begins.

Use the reading time to carefully go through the question paper and fill in all necessary details on the answer sheet before starting.
CBSE Class 12 Biology Paper Analysis
Updates on the CBSE Class 12 Biology paper analysis and answer key will be available after the exam concludes. The Central Board of Secondary Education does not issue official answer keys for board exams.
However, various coaching institutes and subject experts release unofficial answer keys and detailed analyses soon after the exam. These resources allow students to review the paper and assess their expected scores based on their performance.
