CBSE encourages students, teachers to watch Republic Day livestream

CBSE has asked schools to play promotional videos of Republic Day 2022 during the break
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is encouraging school children to register and watch live Republic Day celebrations at the MyGov portal. In a letter to all heads, principals of schools affiliated to CBSE, the board has requested them to play five promotional videos of the Republic Day 2022 celebrations in schools during the break while conducting online classes. After Republic Day, MyGov will conduct a poll on the best contingents and activities.
“About five promo videos featuring highlights of the Republic Day 2022 has been created by the ministry of defence, which is available on YouTube channel ‘Indian RDC’ and indianrdc.mod.gov.in of the ministry. The videos can also be downloaded from there”, said the letter from CBSE. The board also asked schools to play these videos on weekends and encouraged students, teachers and families to register to watch the live streaming of the Republic Day parade.

“A web page has been designed by MyGov for registration for watching the live Republic Day parade and beating the retreat ceremony 2022. A digital certificate will be jointly issued by the ministry of defence and MyGov upon successful registration. The registration will be done with OTP based authentication through mobile,” said the letter.

“Once the events conclude, MyGov will open an online poll for selecting the best contingents and activities of the Republic Day parade and beating the retreat. Only those individuals who registered successfully to watch the live streaming will be able to participate in the poll and cast their vote,” it said.
