KVS, NVS, EMRS Tier-II Exams 2026: CBSE to declare results in phases from August

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that tier-II recruitment exam results for various posts in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) and Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) will be released in phases from mid-August. The board issued a press note on August 7 clarifying status of results following fake reports claiming declaration of tier-II recruitment examination results.

CBSE conducted exams in March 2026 for recruitment to various posts in KVS, NVS and EMRS. The tier-II examinations consisted of both objective and descriptive components. More than 2.1 lakh descriptive answer books across 68 disciplines are being evaluation process.

Answer key, OMR sheet out

The board has already displayed answer keys and images of OMR sheets on the official portal and evaluation of OMR sheets has also been completed. However, the descriptive answer books are currently undergoing physical evaluation. “The descriptive answer books are being physically evaluated which is at advanced stage,” the CBSE said in its notice.

The board further announced that tier-II results will not be declared all at once. Instead, the results will be announced in phases, beginning in mid-August 2026. Therefore, those who appeared for the recruitment examinations are advised to rely only on information published through the official website. They should not fall for unverified information and rumours regarding the result date.

Candidates should regularly check the official CBSE recruitment portal and the respective official websites of KVS, NVS and EMRS for updates regarding their results, merit lists, cut-offs and subsequent recruitment stages.
