The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the correction window for the List of Candidates (LOC) data submitted by schools for Classes 10 and 12 for the 2026-27 academic session. Schools can make corrections to students’ details until November 7 through the official portal at cbse.gov.in. CBSE Date Sheet 2027 LIVE.
The board has asked schools to verify candidates’ personal details, including their names, parents’ or guardians’ names, date of birth (DoB), and subject offered, according to the board’s notification.
It has also clarified that no further opportunity to make changes or corrections to the LOC data will be provided after the correction window closes.
“If there is any correction in candidate's particulars, such as name, father, mother, guardian name, DOB or subject offered is found wrong by the school/candidate, the same can be done during the schedule for correction of LOC data,” the notice read.
The schools have been asked to inform parents and students about the correction schedule and ensure that all details are accurate before the deadline, it added.
Parents have also been advised to check whether their ward’s name, date of birth, and names have been correctly entered in the LOC. CBSE has also asked them to ensure that names are recorded in their expanded form rather than using abbreviations or short names.
They have also been asked to check whether their ward’s surname has been included, particularly if the student plans to pursue education abroad, as several countries require surnames in official documents.
Parents should also have been asked to verify that the date of birth matches the details in the students’ passport, if one has been issued.
The board also said that parents have to check whether their child’s surname has been included, particularly if the student plans to pursue education abroad, as several countries require surnames in official documents.
Parents and schools should carefully verify the subjects selected by students in Classes 10 and 12, as subject changes will not be accepted after the correction window, it added.
The correction facility was held to ensure that accurate student data was recorded in the LOC and to facilitate the smooth conduct of examinations.
