Download NowAmid growing concerns, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a brief update on its X handle sharing that verification and re-evaluation portal will go live soon. It added that an official announcement will follow. However, CBSE did not specify a timeline for when the portal would become operational or whether the schedule for post-result activities would be revised. The latest clarification comes hours after students and parents flagged the portal's continued unavailability despite the June 1 deadline announced by the board.

CBSE's portal for verification of marks, obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer sheets and re-evaluation of Class 12 board exam papers were supposed to go live on June 1. Despite this, the portal is inaccessible as of now (June 1, 1:30 pm).

Few students reported that the post-result activities portal displayed an "under maintenance" message since morning. Many of the students were unable to submit applications for post-result services. The issue triggered concerns among students and parents, particularly those awaiting re-evaluation before proceeding with college admission processes. This comes days after the board postponed the launch of the portal from May 29 to June 1. In an official notification issued on May 29, the board had said the delay was necessary to ensure a "transparent and glitch-free process" for students seeking verification and re-evaluation of answer books.
"In order to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process for verification and re-evaluation of answer books of students who intend to submit their applications on the Post-Result Activities portal, it has been decided that the designated portal will now be operational from 1st June 2026," CBSE had stated.

The portal plays a crucial role in the board's post-result process as students will be able to apply for verification of marks, request photocopies of evaluated answer books and subsequently seek re-evaluation of specific answers. This year's post-result activities have grabbed eyeballs after multiple students alleged discrepancies in the evaluation of their answer sheets. In recent weeks, some candidates who obtained copies of their evaluated answer books reportedly claimed that marks had not been awarded for certain correct responses. These complaints led to discussions on social media and renewed scrutiny of the board's evaluation mechanisms.
Rahul Targets CBSE
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday criticised the Centre and CBSE over the board's re-evaluation process and associated charges, alleging that students are being made to pay for errors committed by the system. Sharing a video of his interaction with students affected by the CBSE's On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, Gandhi claimed that candidates may have to spend up to Rs 2,000 to verify and correct their answer sheets. He argued that education is increasingly being "financialised" and said mistakes in evaluation are not being fixed but monetised, with students bearing the cost in terms of money, time and academic uncertainty.
