CDAC C-CAT 2019 registration begins for Dec session; Exam on Dec 8 and 15

NEW DELHI, October 31- The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) has commenced the registration for Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT) on October 30. Candidates have to fill the same online and submit before the last date, i.e. November 27, 2019. The C-CAT Exam will be conducted on December 8 and 15 for February 2020 batch. Besides opening the registration window for the examination, the authorities have also released a detailed notification announcing all the dates and procedures for all the events associated with CDAC C-CAT 2019.

According to the C-CAT 2019 December notification, the admit cards for the online exam will be released on December 4 and the last date of downloading is December 14. This means that candidates have 11 days in hand to download the hall ticket. As the examination is to be conducted on December 8 and 15, candidates applying for the examination have to choose either of the two dates for taking the test. The result for CDAC C-CAT 2019 will be out on December 27, 2019.

CDAC C-CAT December 2019 Notification

The CDAC C-CAT exam will be conducted in online mode on two alternative days for a duration of 1 hour per paper (depending upon the category of courses opted). There will be 50 multiple-choice questions in each paper. Candidates are awarded 3 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect response. Thus, one has to attempt the questions carefully w.r.t. negative marking.

About CDAC C-CAT

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) conducts Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT) for admission to thirteen PG Diploma courses. The entrance exam is conducted twice a year, in June for August admissions and in December for February admissions respectively. There are three categories of CDAC PG Diploma courses, which the candidates have to opt for while filling the C-CAT application form. Category 1 candidates have to take C-CAT examination under Section A, candidates of the second category have to undergo examination of Section A and B, and those under category 3 have to appear for Section A+B+C respectively. The PG Diploma course is conducted for a duration of 24 weeks which includes 900 hours of theory, lab, and projects.
