Central University of Kashmir begins PhD admissions 2025; last date to register August 5

PhD admissions at CUK are open for candidates who have qualified eligibility tests like UGC NET, CSIR NET, GATE, or CEED.
The Central University of Kashmir (CUK) has begun registrations for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) admissions 2025. The admission criteria will be based on the UGC NET, CSIR NET, and other national eligibility tests. PhD admission at CUK will be done on the Samarth portal, cukashmiradm.samarth.edu.in.
The application fee for general candidates is Rs 1,000, while the fee for reserved category candidates is Rs 500. Candidates belonging to category 1, who are awarded scholarships or fellowships through national exams like the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET), Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), and the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED), will be given first preference during seat allocation.
The remaining seats will be allotted to category 2 candidates - those who have qualified the UGC NET or other exams for assistant professorship. The candidates who have qualified the NET exam for PhD admissions will also be considered under this category. The last date to apply for PhD at the Central University of Kashmir is August 5, 2025.

CUK PhD Admission: For professionals
Category 3 for PhD admissions at the Central University of Kashmir includes applications from foreign students as well as working professionals who are corporate workers, civil servants, employees of CUK, or teachers. All mid-career professionals will have the option to pursue the PhD programme in either full-time or part-time mode. Working candidates have to procure a No Objection Certificate from their respective employers.
