NEW DELHI: CLAT 2023 exam is scheduled to be conducted today, December 18, from 2 pm to 4 pm. This national level exam will be conducted at 127 test centres across India. The consortium of NLUs released the exam day timing schedule for the candidates. Candidates participating in the CLAT 2023 exam should know the exam schedule and timings to attempt the paper strategically.

Time | Type of bell | Bell purpose |
1:00 pm | Long Bell | Candidates will be allowed to enter inside the test centre premises |
1:30 pm | Long Bell | Candidates can enter the exam hall |
1:50 pm | Short Bell | The invigilators will distribute the sealed envelopes and announce the instructions. |
2:00 pm | Long Bell | The long bell will mark the commencement of the test. |
2:15 pm | Short Bell | After this time, no candidate will be permitted to enter the testing centre. |
3:00 pm | Short Bell | This will mark the completion of 60 (sixty) minutes of CLAT exam. |
3:50 pm | Short Bell | A warning bell will sound to signify that the test will end in 10 (ten) minutes. |
4:00 pm | Long Bell | No applicant will be allowed to write anything on the OMR response sheet/ question booklet after this bell |

Pre-exam tips:
Candidates should revise the already studied topics and refrain from reading new topics.
Solve mock test papers and previous year exam papers to increase the accuracy and speed.
Candidates should carry a CLAT 2023 admit card, a self-attested photograph, a Government ID proof, black or blue ballpoint pen, transparent water bottle, face mask, an analogue watch, PwDs/ SAPs should carry their original Disability Certificate.
Items such as electronic devices including mobile phones, headphones and digital watches will not be allowed

Enter your admit card number on the first page of the QB at the beginning of the test
Answer the questions in the separate carbonised Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet supplied along with the QB using black or blue ball point pen only.
While attempting the comprehension questions, read the passages carefully.
Quickly mark the easy questions first and save time for the difficult part.
Carefully write the question booklet number, and the OMR sheet number on the attendance sheet, and sign in the space provided during the test.
Question booklet (QB) will contain 150 multiple choice questions and 2 blank pages for rough work.
Every right answer secures 1 (one) mark. Every wrong answer results in the deduction of 0.25 marks.
There will be no deductions for unanswered questions.
Candidates can retain the QB and the candidate’s copy of the OMR sheet after the test.
