CLAT 2026 exam over; marks vs ranks as per trends

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) conducted the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2026) today across 141 exam cities across states and UTs. The Consortium of NLUs will likely publish the CLAT answer key 2025 within a week. Candidates will also have an opportunity to object to the CLAT 2026 provisional answer key. After evaluating all objections CLAT final answer key 2025 will be published along with the results.

What is a good score in CLAT 2026?

A good attempt in CLAT 2026 will be anywhere between 105-110 questions. With an attempt between these parameters, candidates can expect a score of around 98-100 marks, which is enough for admission in the top 3 NLUs.

A good score for general category candidates can range between 90-100+ marks, for EWS between 85-95+ marks and for other category candidates is 80-90+ marks.

CLAT marks vs rank 2026 as per trends

The expected CLAT marks vs ranks 2026, as per trends, are as follows.

As per the CLAT 2026 marking scheme, candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will be admitted to 25 NLUs and other law colleges to their LLB and LLM courses based on CLAT 2026 scores through the counselling process.
