Download EbookThe Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will start the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 registration today, August 3. Students can apply for CLAT 2027 on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, once the application form-filling link is made active. Consortium of NLUs will conduct the CLAT 2027 UG and PG entrance exam on December 6 from 2 pm to 4 pm across the country.

As per previous year trends, the CLAT 2027 admit card will be made accessible to students two weeks before the exam date. The last date for CLAT registration 2027 is October 31.
CLAT 2026 will be held for two hours in computer-based test (CBT) mode, comprising 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question will carry one mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
The CLAT 2027 paper will comprise five sections: English language, Current affairs and general knowledge, legal reasoning, logical reasoning, and quantitative techniques.
CLAT Registration 2027: How to apply?
The steps to apply for the CLAT 2027 UG and PG law entrance exam are given below.
- Visit the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- Click on CLAT login link available on the homepage.
- Click on the “New Registration” tab.
- Enter your registration details, such as your phone number, email address, and password.
- Enter the One Time Password (OTP) received on your mobile number to activate your account.
- Fill out the application form details.
- Enter your test centre preferences.
- Upload the documents and submit required fee
- Download the CLAT application form and keep it for your records.
To apply for CLAT 2027 , general category students will have to pay Rs 4,000, while others have to pay Rs 3,500. There’s no change in the CLAT 2027 exam pattern and syllabus.
The Consortium of NLUs conducts CLAT, a national-level entrance exam for admission to 5-year integrated undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 27 participating National Law Universities (NLUs) across the country.

CLAT UG and PG Eligibility Criteria 2026
The CLAT UG and PG eligibility criteria 2026 are given below.
Educational Qualification: Class 12th or equivalent for the UG entrance exam and LLB graduation for PG.
Minimum Marks Required in UG Qualifying Exam: For the UG exam, general candidates must have 45% marks, while others must have atleast 40%
Minimum Marks Required in PG Qualifying Exam: Candidates belonging to the general category must have 50% marks, while others must have 45% marks.
