NEW DELHI: In the wake of the continuing lockdown due to the spared of COVID-19, the University of Delhi has been encouraging students and teachers to go for online teaching-learning processes since the time the varsity has been shut due to the spread of Coronavirus. Even the administrative work of the university is being executed online. Besides teaching/learning, the university has also asked the staff/students to actively participate in indoor exercises, yoga, meditation, family and hobbies, etc. In this direction, the Delhi University has started department-wise counselling services for students, teachers and non-teaching staff.

These counselling services by the university departments will be offered via email, tele-counselling/tele-consultation. For this purpose, designated teachers (with proven expertise) from the respective departments have been given the responsibility. However, it must be noted that these counselling services are not available 24/7. The university has allotted separate and specific timings for consultation/counselling, as per the different departments.

To avail the services, anyone in need can reach out to the professor in-charge of the department through email/calls/WhatsApp wherein he/she will further be redirected to a counsellor for further counselling. Not only this, but the University of Delhi has also announced that the counselling/consultation services will remain confidential within the framework of applicable rules.
