CSIR NET 2024 registration window closes today; application fee, eligibility

CSIR UGC NET 2024: The exam is scheduled to be held on June 25, 26 and 27.
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) 2024 registration today, May 21. Candidates who have not yet registered for the exam can fill out the CSIR NET 2024 application form by visiting the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in.
The CSIR NET 2024 application fee payment window is open till May 23. The NTA will activate the CSIR NET 2024 application correction window from May 25. Candidates will be able to make changes on their already submitted CSIR NET 2024 application form till May 27. The CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on June 25, 26 and 27.
CSIR NET 2024: Application fee
CSIR NET 2024 application fee payment is mandatory to complete the registration process. The application fee payment can be done through, debit card, credit card, UPI and net banking. The CSIR UGC NET 2024 application fee for General candidates is Rs 1,150, whereas for General Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, the fee is Rs 600. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, and Person with Disabilities (PwD) categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 325.
CSIR UGC NET 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can have a look at the CSIR NET 2024 eligibility criteria below.
- Educational qualification: Candidates are required to hold a degree in BTech, BE,BPharma, MBBSBS (four years) or Integrated BS-MS, MSc with a minimum of 55 percent marks for General (UR, General-EWS and OBC (50 percent for SC, ST, Third gender, and PwD).
- Age limit: To be eligible for CSIR NET JRF, candidates must not exceed 28 years of age. The upper age limit is extendable by up to 5 years for SC,ST, Third gender,PwD, Females and by up to 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer). However, there is no upper age limit for applying for the post of Lectureship (LS) or assistant professor.
