NTA to close CSIR UGC NET December 2025 answer key challenge window tomorrow

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the window to object the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research–University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) December 2025 tomorrow, January 1. Candidates can raise objections against the CSIR UGC NET 2025 answer key on the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in, by January 1.

Candidates will have to pay an objection fee of Rs 200 for each challenge against the provisional answer key. Once a panel of experts has verified the objections, the final answer key will be published, based on which CSIR UGC-NET December 2025 results will be prepared.

The NTA conducted the joint CSIR-UGC NET 2025 exam on December 12 in computer-based test (CBT) mode for over 2 lakh candidates.

CSIR UGC NET 2025: How to calculate scores?

CSIR UGC NET 2025 December exam is divided into two parts: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is equal to 100 marks, while Paper II carries 200 marks. Candidates can evaluate their results based on the number of correct responses they get.

CSIR UGC NET Answer Key 2025: How to object?

The steps to object the CSIR UGC NET provisional answer key 2025 are given below.

  • Visit the official NTA website, csirnet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the tab 'Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key'.
  • Login with application number, password, and security pin.
  • Click on "View Question Paper" for marked responses and "Challenge" to view/challenge answer keys.
  • Upload supporting documents as a single PDF file by selecting 'Choose File'
  • Click 'Submit and review Claims.'
  • Click 'Modify your Claims' to Modify or 'Final Submit' to finalize claims.
  • Save claims and click 'Pay Now'.
  • The claim is saved after payment is made.

According to the CSIR UGC NET marking scheme, Part A awards 2 marks for each correct answer with a 25% negative marking, Part B carries 3 to 3.5 marks per question with the same penalty, while Part C questions are worth 4 to 5 marks each and do not have any negative marking.
