CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 Result: NTA releases rank, scorecard; here's direct link to check

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 result and rank. Candidates who appeared for Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test June session can check their scorecards through official CSIR UGC NET website csirnet.nta.nic.in.

NTA released the CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 result on August 29 and to access the result, candidates must log in using application number and password on the official portal.

Official notice reads, “This is in continuation of the press release dated 29.08.2026 regarding declaration of the Scores of Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026. The Result and Rank of Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 have been uploaded on https://csirnet.nta.nic.in/. Candidates who appeared for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 can view/download/print their score card from the NTA website.”

CSIR exam was conducted on July 17 and 18, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for five subjects across 224 cities in India. According to the official notice, a total of 1,87,739 candidates registered for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination, and 1,50,057 candidates appeared for the test.

CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 statistics

Of the 1,87,739 registered candidates, 1,11,274 were female candidates, 76,463 were male candidates and two were registered under the third-gender category. Among those who appeared, 90,380 were female candidates, 59,675 were male candidates and two were third-gender candidates.

Subject-wise, Life Sciences recorded the highest number of registrations at 83,546, of whom 67,650 appeared for the examination. Mathematical Sciences had 31,574 registered and 24,964 appearing candidates, while Physical Sciences recorded 27,791 registrations and 21,810 appearances.

For Chemical Sciences, 38,740 candidates registered and 30,885 appeared. Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences had 6,088 registered candidates, with 4,748 appearing for the examination.

Candidates can follow these steps to download their CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 scorecard:

• Go the official CSIR-UGC NET website at csirnet.nta.nic.in
• On homepage, look for candidate activity
• Click on the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 result or scorecard link
• Enter the application number and password
• The CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 scorecard will appear on the screen
• Download and save the scorecard for future references

Before announcing results, the testing agency had displayed the provisional answer keys and recorded responses between August 16 to 18, and invited challenges from candidates. Following the pattern, the challenges were reviewed by subject experts, and final answer keys were issued. The results were processed using the final keys.
