NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the next session of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2023) in December. The CTET application form for the December session is usually uploaded on the official website, ctet.nic.in, in October, as per the past trends.
The CBSE CTET application form 2023 window was active for a month for the last session held in July/August. The CTET result for the July 2023 session was declared on September 25. A total of 2,98,758 candidates qualified in CTET paper 1 and 1,01,057 in paper 2. The marksheet and qualifying certificate of the candidates was also uploaded in Digilocker.
CTET is a qualifying exam for eligibility for appointment as teacher in Classes 1 to 8. Those aspirants who wish to teach Class 1 to 5 will have to appear for paper 1 and to be appointed as teacher in Class 6 to 8, candidates should qualify paper 2.
Last year, the CTET December exam was held from December 28 in 74 cities at 243 centres. More than 2.5 lakh candidates appeared in the session.
CTET question paper 2023
The CBSE CTET exam for both primary and elementary level is conducted for a duration of two and a half hours. Shift 1 is conducted from 9.30 AM to 12 noon and shift 2 from 2:30 PM to 5 PM in computer-based test (CBT) mode.
CTET question paper will have 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying one mark each. Those who qualify the exam will be awarded the eligibility certificate. The validity of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for life time for all categories.
