The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 for admission to undergraduate programmes. Candidates can apply for the CUET UG 2026 through the official website at cuet.nta.nic.in.

The CUET UG 2026 registration window will be active by January 30 for admission to UG programmes at various central and state colleges. The testing agency will conduct the college entrance test for admission to 47 central universities and over 300 colleges from May 11 to 31, 2026.
The CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted for each test paper for a duration of 60 minutes. The test will be held in multiple shifts depending on the number of candidates and their combinations.
“Candidates may choose up to a maximum of five (05) subjects including languages and General Aptitude Test. Fees will be calculated based on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates,” according to the NTA’s official website.

The syllabus of the computer-based CUET UG 2026 includes reading comprehension (based on different types of passages), factual, literary, and narrative, literary aptitude and vocabulary.
Moreover, the question paper will also have questions from domain subjects as per NCERT syllabus. The general aptitude test will include general knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, quantitative reasoning (simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic, algebra geometry, mensuration, statistics), logical and analytical reasoning.

The CUET UG 2026 will be held in 13 Indian languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
The option of language for question paper can be opted while filling up the CUET UG 2026 application form and it cannot be changed at a later stage, the NTA said in its information broucher.
"Candidates while attempting the QP must choose the same medium as opted while registering in the Application form. The Question Paper will be in both English and the language opted by the candidate. English version will prevail in the event of any difference of opinion," the NTA said.
