CUET UG 2024 retest on July 19, result date awaited; NTA to issue admit card soon

Try NowNEW DELHI: After several candidates alleged errors in CUET answer key, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced to conduct a retest on July 19 for the Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate admissions 2024. Around 13.48 lakh candidates appeared in the CUET UG 2024 exam this year. The testing agency, however, has not clarified on the CUET result date amid apprehensions about further delay in the admission process.

The CUET UG results 2024 are expected to be declared by July 22, as per the Indian Express report. However, the NTA is yet to officially announce the CUET UG result date 2024.
The NTA held the CUET, a gateway exam for admission into UG programmes offered by central universities, state universities and other participating institutions, from May 15 to 29 in 379 cities including 26 cities outside India. Taking into account the technical difficulties and other issues faced by the students, the NTA conducted re-exam for around 1.52 lakh candidates in Delhi, Faridabad, Gurugram, Noida, and Ghaziabad centres.

CUET final answer key, retest admit card
After the NEET UG, CUET paper leak allegations, CUET aspirants started flooding social media platforms regarding discrepancies in the provisional answer key. Following this, the NTA invited challenges against the answers from July 7 to 9.
“The grievances received from candidates up to 30 June 2024, regarding the CUET (UG) – 2024 examination, as well as the complaints sent to rescuetug@nta.ac.in between 07 July and 09 July 2024 (before 05:00 P.M.), have been reviewed. Based on these grievances, a re-examination will be conducted for those affected candidates on 19 July 2024 (28 आषाढ़ 1946), Friday, in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode,” it said.
The CUET admit card 2024 for the retest will also be issued soon on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG . “Information to all such affected candidates has been sent through e-mail mentioning their subject code(s),” it said.
The testing agency also informed that the objections raised by the students are being reviewed by the subject experts for preparing the CUET final answer key 2024. The CUET results along with the final answer key 2024 will be issued soon after the re-exam.
