Amid these changes, a father has flagged a clash between the CUET UG and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram 2026. The overlap has raised concerns among aspirants who are required to appear for both examinations.
Highlighting the issue on social media platform X, a parent, Manoj Kumar Gujela, said that his daughter is facing a direct clash between CUET and IISER on June 7. He noted that his daughter is already dealing with examination delays. He urged the NTA to revise the CUET examination slots, arguing that it is impossible for his daughter to be present at two examination centres simultaneously.

Re-Exam after technical glitch disrupts CUET UG 2026
The NTA has announced a special re-examination for 3,765 candidates who left their examination centres during the CUET UG 2026 shift 1 test on May 30 after a technical glitch delayed the start of the examination. According to the agency, the disruption occurred at some centres due to a technical issue reported by its technology partner, TCS iON, causing inconvenience and anxiety among candidates.
In its statement, the NTA said that nearly 95% of candidates were able to complete the examination after services resumed. However, 3,765 students who had completed biometric registration and were present at their centres chose to leave before the test restarted. To ensure that these candidates are not disadvantaged, the agency has decided to conduct a one-time special re-examination, with the revised date and detailed schedule to be announced separately.
