DTE Maharashtra may conduct MHT CET 2019 in online mode; invites feedback from students

NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 26: After JEE Main, it’s time for MHT CET to go online. Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra has proposed to conduct MHT CET 2019 in online mode. The exam conducting body has invited aspirants to give their feedback regarding the same. The authorities have released the online feedback form for the students to submit their opinion on taking the state level entrance exam in online mode.

In order to submit the feedback candidates will have to visit the official website (http://www.mahacet.org) of MHT CET 2019 where they will have to enter the following details:
- Name
- Email-Id and Mobile Number
- Name of College/ Institute's Studying in
- Occupation
Along with the above information, candidates will have to answer few of questions like, ‘Are you aware of online examination?, Would you like to have decrement time indicator (Clock) provided on screen?’ and so on. On receiving the feedback from the students, the authority will finally decide and release the notice regarding MHT CET mode for 2019.
MHT CET conducting body has been conducting all other CETs, MMS CET/ MAH MBA, MAH MCA CET, MAH B.HMCT CET, in online mode only.
Earlier, DTE Maharashtra uses to conduct MHT CET in the offline mode. MHT CET has been re-introduced in the year 2016. The state level entrance exam is conducted for the candidates who are seeking admission to various undergraduate engineering programmes offered by its participating institutes. Earlier, (in 2014 and 2015) the state level engineering colleges use to offer admission to the candidates based on their JEE Main score.
The application form of MHT CET 2019 for the entrance exam will be released in online mode tentatively in the third week of January.
