DTU opens admission for MA Education through CUET scores

DTU Admissions 2024: Eligible aspirants can apply at delhiteachersuniversity.edu.in by June 19.
NEW DELHI: Delhi Teachers University (DTU) has started accepting applications for its Master of Arts in Education (MA Education) programme for the academic year 2024-25. Admission to the 54 available seats will be based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. Eligible students can apply for the programme on the university's official website, delhiteachersuniversity.edu.in till June 19.
MA Education eligibility, details
The MA Education programme at DTU can be completed in a period ranging from 2 to 5 years. The course fee is Rs 40,000 per year. There is no age limit for candidates applying for this course. Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks in any bachelor's degree (science, social sciences, commerce, or humanities) are eligible to apply.

Objectives of the MA Education course
DTU has outlined several objectives for the MA Education course in their admission notice, including:
- Understanding the context of education in contemporary Indian society.
- Creating sensitivity about language diversity in the classroom.
- Developing an understanding of the paradigm shift in conceptualising disciplinary knowledge in the school curriculum.
- Identifying, challenging, and overcoming gender inequalities in schools and other social institutions.
- Engaging students and teachers to establish close connections between different curricular areas.
- Providing first-hand experience of all school activities through engaging students and teachers as interns in secondary or senior secondary schools.
The MA Education programme aims to provide advanced knowledge, innovative teaching strategies, and essential research skills to teachers. This programme focuses on bringing a global perspective to Indian teachers through practical training and research. It is designed to balance the theoretical and practical aspects of education for both students and teachers.
