DU Admission 2021: Delhi University receives over 41,000 applications for PG courses in 5 days
5,971 applicants have so far registered for PhD and MPhil programmes at Delhi University.
NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi has received around 41,000 applications for admission to postgraduate and doctoral level programmes till 5 pm on July 29, as per the data available on DU’s official website.

Out of the total 47,534 applications received by the varsity, 41,563 are for postgraduate programmes, while 5,971 applications have been submitted for MPhil and PhD programmes.
The admissions to 50% seats in Delhi University postgraduate programmes are offered via Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET). For the remaining 50% seats, admissions are done on the basis of the merit of the qualifying exam. Only those candidates who have finished their honours programme from Delhi University are eligible for the merit-based seats.
Candidates who have done bachelor in non-honour degree programmes are not eligible for merit based admissions and it is mandatory for them to appear in the DUET exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the DUET 2021 exam from September 26 to October 1. The Delhi University has also increased the number of test centres to 27, this year.
The DU PG application form 2021 was released on July 26 and the last date of filling and submitting the applications is August 21.
The DU 2021 registration form for undergraduate programmes will be released on August 2. The last date to register for DU UG programmes will be August 31.
