DU Admission 2021: Live updates on application form, admission portal and documents required

Delhi University has delayed the DU 2021 application form once again. Initially, the DU UG application was scheduled to be released today, at 3 pm. Then, around 5 pm DU officials announced that the DU UG 2021 application form will be released at 6 pm. However, the DU UG admission portal 2021 has not been opened yet.

The release of DU UG application form 2021 has been delayed once again. As stated by Rajeev Gupta, Dean of Student Welfare, Delhi University, the DU admission portal will open at 6 pm. Applicants will find the DU UG 2021 application form as well as the official brochure on the DU admission portal.

The DU admission portal 2021 will be opened around 5 PM. Aspirants can visit the DU 2021 admission portal to fill out the DU UG application form and for other key details regarding the admission process. The DU registration fee for undergraduate programmes is the same as last year. In the press conference held on July 17, acting Vice Chancellor PC Joshi stated that there will be no hike in the registration fee for any programmes. The registration fee will also remain non refundable. The DU admission portal will provide a secure gateway for the payment of registration fee.

National Student union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress has launched a helpline number for the DU aspirants. Candidates can ask their DU admission related queries on the helpline number.

The Delhi University UG 2021 application form was expected to be released today, at 3 pm. However, the release of the DU UG application form 2021 has been delayed. Earlier, the PG application form was also released around 5 pm. Candidates are advised to keep checking this live blog for more details regarding the application process.

Delhi University website will have a common admission portal for applicants that will be active at all times. With a common admission portal for all programmes, candidates have a much easier time filling out and submitting DU 2021 application form. This year, the DU admission process 2021 will also be completely online. Thus, applicants can now apply for admission to Delhi University from the safety of their home.

Shri Ram College of Commerce will release the first SRCC 2021 cut off between September 7 and 10 at srcc.edu. While waiting for the release of the first cut off, candidates can go through SRCC expected cut off 2021 which is created based on the cut off date of previous years. 

DU Expected Cut Off 2021 for SRCC

Delhi University will release a spot admission list for candidates who failed to qualify for the DU cut off 2021. The DU spot admission 2021 is conducted for colleges having vacant seats even after the all cut off lists have been released. To apply for DU spot admission, candidates must fall under the combined rank mentioned in DU spot admission list.

Before students sit down to fill the application form, they should go through the DU UG 2021 eligibility criteria laid down by the university. As per the DU UG eligibility criteria 2021, applicants must have completed their Class 12th from a recognized board. As per the There is no age limit for undergraduate courses offered at Delhi University. It must be noted that DU UG 2021 eligibility criteria differs for candidates depending on their category.

University of Delhi is expected to release seven or eight DU 2021 Non Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) cut off this year. The DU NCWEB 2021 cut off is released for female candidates who cannot pursue regular courses offered by Delhi University. For NCWEB female students, the classes will be held only on the weekends.

DU UG admission 2021 will be conducted for admitting students to around 70,000 seats at 64 colleges. These 70,000 seats are offered in merit based undergraduate programmes. These seats also include supernumerary seats (sports and ECA seats). The DU 2021 application form for around 70,000 UG seats will be released today at 3 pm.

This year, as per the CBSE result over 70,004 students have secured more than 95% marks. This abrupt rise in the Class 12th percentage will very likely lead to the skyrocketing DU cut off. The number of applicants will also increase as the passing percentage of this year for Class 12th students is 99.37%.

The DU UG 2021 application form will be released today at 3 pm on the official website - du.ac.in. Applicants should keep all the necessary documents ready beforehand. The Delhi University UG application process will be completely online from DU registration to counselling session. Students are advised to fill the DU UG 2021 application form very carefully as one mistake can ruin their chances of admission. Also keep the credit card or debit card as they are more easy to use as compared to net banking. Candidates should never submit their DU UG application form 2021 before checking it.

The authorities at St. Stephen’s College has announced that St. Stephen’s College 2021 application form will be released on August 5. The last date to fill the St. Stephen’s College application form 2021 is the same as other DU colleges, August 31. To apply for St. Stephen’s College 2021 admission, candidates have to first register themselves at DU admission portal.

For some undergraduate courses, the DU admission is done through the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). From this year, the number of UG courses for which the entrance test is conducted has increased from 9 to 13. These new UG programmes are Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Masters of Physiotherapy and Bachelor in Physiotherapy. The admission for a new PG programme called Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics will also be done through a DUET. 

Delhi University admission for UG merit-based courses will be conducted on the basis of DU cut-off calculated in accordance with past years practice. CBSE has created an evaluation criteria for Class 12th results. As per the CBSE Class 12th evaluation criteria, the pre boards, unit test and mid-term exams will contribute to the 40% marks. The 30% marks will be based on Class 11th final exam marks and the remaining 30% from best of three of Class 10th marks.

During the DU UG application process, candidates have to enter their personal and academic details in the application form along with the necessary documents. The necessary details and required documents are as follows -

• SC/ST/OBC/EWS/CW/KM Certificate
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate EWS Certificate from competent authority certifying the applicant can claim reservation under this category
• Class X and Class XII details (Marksheet or Certificate)
• Correct spelling of Father’s and Mother’s names
• Aadhar Number
• Scanned images of passport-sized candidate’s photograph
• Scanned images of signature in the prescribed dimensions. (Format and dimensions are given below)
• Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking details (for online payment)

Candidates have to follow the given instruction to fill the DU UG 2021 application form - 

• Visit the DU UG admission portal - du.ac.in.
• Press the “Register” button.
• Register at the admission portal by entering Class 12th marks, roll number, name, school code, password, email ID and phone number.
• A confirmation message will be sent on the registered email.
• Use these login credentials to access the user account and fill up the applications.
• Login using the sent login credentials.
• Now, enter the personal and academic details.
• Upload the scanned copy of the necessary documents.
• Pay the DU UG application fee.

The DU UG 2021 application fee can be paid through debit card, credit card or net banking. Candidates of general and OBC category have to pay an application fee of Rs. 250, while candidates of SC/ST/PwD category are required to pay Rs. 150 as application fee. 

For registration of each entrance-based course, candidates of general and OBC category have to pay an additional registration fee of Rs. 750. The additional registration fee of each entrance-based course for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/EWS category is Rs. 300. Applicants should know that DU UG application fee 2021 is non refundable. 

This year, the candidates applying for DU admission 2021 to UG merit based programmes through ECA and sport category will be enrolled on the basis of their merit/participation certificates. The ECA category is given 15% concession in the DU cutoff.

Delhi University and its affiliated college will release the DU 2021 first cutoff in between September 7 to 10. Candidates will be able to check the DU first cutoff 2021 on the official website of the Delhi University. The DU cutoffs are released in the form of a PDF. The DU cutoff 2021 will include the minimum marks that candidates must have to be eligible for admission.

Every year, DU admission is conducted for admitting candidates in 91 DU colleges. Out of all these 91 colleges, 64 DU colleges offer admission to undergraduate programmes based on cut off. The DU colleges are divided into 6 campuses which are Dhaula Kuan Campus, Central Campus, North Campus, West Campus, East Campus, and South Campus.

Delhi University UG admission will be conducted to enroll candidates in the various undergraduate courses offered by the DU colleges. The admission to DU UG seats will be done based on the candidate’s merit in the Class 12th. The number of UG seats is different for every Delhi University college.
