NEW DELHI: Delhi University is likely to release its first cut-off list by October 1 for undergraduate courses, a senior university official said on Tuesday.

The official said that by that time the results of the CBSE compartment examination, optional exams and improvement will in all likelihood be declared and the NEET, JEE exams would have also been over by then.

"We are planning to start by October 1. With October 2 and 3 being holidays, we will start the admission process by October 4," said Pinki Sharma, Dean, Admissions. The cut-offs are likely to be released by October 1.

Earlier, the university had planned to release the first cut-off list between September 8-10. Sharma said they would have to take approval and also consult the IT team.

The application process for admission in Delhi University for the academic session 2021-24 has already started. Delhi University received over 1,58,889 applications in the first few days. Delhi University has around 70,000 undergraduate seats.

Trials for sports quota and ECA seats will not be conducted this year. The university will review candidates' performances based on achievements in sports and extracurricular activities.

IN CBSE Class 12 result 2021, above 70,000 students scored more than 95% and around 1.5 lakh students have obtained above 90% marks. These figures point towards a higher cut-off mark for admission to Delhi University colleges this year, as most of the applications that the Delhi University received comes from the CBSE board students.
