Download NowNEW DELHI: The Careers360 Faculty Research Awards 2026 for engineering have recognised researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and Saveetha School of Engineering, Chennai.

Bijaya Ketan Panigrahi from IIT Delhi has been recognised under the public category, while T. Sathish from Saveetha School of Engineering has been recognised under the private category.
Prof. Bijaya Ketan Panigrahi is a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi. He has made significant contributions to the fields of power systems, machine intelligence, and evolutionary computing.
His research focuses on microgrid control and optimisation, advanced battery technologies, power-system optimisation, smart grids, and energy management. IIT Delhi accounts for 93.8% of his scholarly output.

On the other hand, Dr. T. Sathish is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Saveetha School of Engineering, Chennai. He holds a B.E., M.Tech., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and specialises in manufacturing processes, composite materials, and supply chain management.
His research includes advanced manufacturing, composite materials, waste-to-fuel technologies, and related mechanical engineering applications. He has contributed to numerous research publications, technical books, and patents and has also been involved in Ph.D. supervision, invited lectures, and academic research activities.
Sathish was recognised among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in the 2020 composite research ranking by Stanford University and Elsevier. Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Science accounts for over 80% of his scholarly output.
The award carries a citation and a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and was presented by Professor G. D. Yadav. He was the Founding Vice-Chancellor of Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai and is still associated with it as Emeritus Professor of Eminence.
Prof Yadav is President of the Indian Chemical Society, a Vice-President of the Indian National Science Academy and Fellow of 10 Indian and foreign science academies. He is the only second Indian to become a fellow of the US National Academy of Inventors and the only Indian fellow in the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
