NEW DELHI: The examinations for final year students in Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) and Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Language University (KMCLU) will be conducted in the first week of September. The two universities have also reduced the examination time from three hours to two.
For the first time in the history of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), final year students will appear for a multiple choice question based examination.
Around 60,000 students of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University will appear for the objective type examination. This exam will be conducted between September 1 to 5.
A report by The Times of India quoted AKTU Vice Chancellor Vinay Kumar Pathak saying, “Our students have received job offers and they need a degree at the earliest. Hence, we decided to go for an MCQ-based examination which will be held on OMR sheet. It will also speed up the evaluation process and ensure that results are declared on time.”
600 students of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Language University (KMCLU) will also appear for a two-hour exam instead of three hours. The exams are scheduled to be conducted between September 1 to 15.
The report by TOI also quoted KMCLU Vice Chancellor Mahrukh Mirza saying, “We will be reducing both the duration of the exam and the number of questions to be answered. Earlier, there were four units in a question paper and it was mandatory for a student to attempt one question of 10 marks from each unit.”
