NEW DELHI: The state board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 are being held today, March 3, in multiple states. The Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Plus Two, Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) Class 10, West Bengal Higher Secondary (HS), Tamil Nadu Class 12, and Andhra Pradesh Intermediate examinations are scheduled as per their respective timetables.
Students going to appear for the Class 10, 12 board exam today must carry their board exam hall tickets 2025 to the examination centres. The respective boards have issued guidelines regarding reporting time, permitted items, and exam day instructions. Candidates are advised to follow the rules specified by their boards to avoid any issues during the examination.
DHSE Kerala will conduct plus two and School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) board exams 2025 from March 3 to March 26, 2025. Kerala SSLC board exam 2025 will be conducted today, with the First Language Part 1 paper.
The subjects include Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Urdu, Gujarati, Additional English, Additional Hindi, Sanskrit (academic), Sanskrit Oriental, Arabic (academic), and Arabic Oriental. Today, the West Bengal Class 12 board exam 2025, will be held for Bengali (A), English (A), Hindi (A), Nepali (A), Urdu, Santhali, Odia, Telugu, Gujarati, and Punjabi. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has reiterated that mobile phones are strictly banned in the WB HS board exams 2025. According to the list of prohibited items, students cannot bring mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, wireless headphones, AirPods, smartwatches, or any other electronic gadgets to the exam hall. However, council-approved calculators will be permitted.

Private students who appeared for the Tamil Nadu 12th public exam under the old pattern but failed or missed non-practical subjects must take the exam as per the new pattern introduced in March 2020. As per the updated marking scheme, scores in non-practical subjects will be calculated using the formula: (marks obtained/90) × 200. For subjects with practical exams, the marks will be converted as (marks obtained/70) × 150.
For the West Bengal HS exam 2025, only the centre-in-charge, centre secretary, venue supervisor, and council nominee are allowed to carry mobile phones within the venue premises strictly for exam-related purposes. However, they are not permitted to use them inside the examination hall. All other teachers, non-teaching staff, and individuals must deposit their mobile phones with the supervisor before entering the exam hall and can collect them only after the exam concludes.
