CLAT 2021 seat allotment has been released for the first round. Candidates can now check their allotment status by logging into their CLAT account.

Candidates who have registered for CLAT counselling may now check their allotment status by logging into their registered account at the consortium’s official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Candidates who have been allotted NLU in the first round will now have to either accept the seat or apply for an upgrade. For candidates who are not willing to join the admission process of subsequent rounds, an option to exit the admission process is also available. The last date to exercise the available options is August 5 (5 pm). The second round of admission list will be released on August 9, 2021.
In addition to the CLAT seat allotment list, the consortium has also released detailed instructions for the candidates who are participating in counselling. The details of the instructions are given below.

How to check CLAT seat allotment 2021

Log in to your CLAT account from the direct link given above.

Click on 1st seat allotment list

The list will be displayed on the screen, find roll number to know if you have been allotted a seat.

What after CLAT seat allotment?
After 1st round of seat allotment, candidates will have three options as given below.
a) Accept the allotted seat
b) Apply for upgrade
c) Exit from CLAT admission process
Accept the allotted seat
If a candidate is satisfied with the allotment, he/she may accept and block the allotted seat. After exercising this option, no further changes will be considered with regard to upgradation even if a vacancy arises at a later stage.
Actions required after accepting seat allotment

Upload all the required documents on your registered CLAT account

Make payment of requisite fee to the allotted NLU.

Update the fee payment status in your CLAT account
To know about the details of fees, candidates should visit the official website of the allotted NLU.
Apply for upgrade
Candidates may apply for an upgrade if they want to change their allotted NLU. In this case, the candidate will accept the allotted seat and also apply for an upgrade option in the next round of allotment which means the candidate will now lose the allotted seat. However, there is no guarantee of getting a higher option.
Action required after applying for upgrade

Make the payment of the requisite fee to the allotted University

Upload documents through your CLAT account

Update the fee payment status in your CLAT account.
Candidates must note that they will be considered for an upgrade only if they have completed the above-mentioned process.
Exit from CLAT admission process
This option is available for those who are no more looking for admission to any of the NLU. Exercising this option will forfeit the claim of the candidate for any seat allotment from the CLAT consortium.
The candidate will lose the currently allotted seat and will not be considered in the subsequent round of the admission process.
