FMGE December 2024: NMC invites applications for obtaining eligibility certificate; apply by November 4

FMGE 2024 December Session: The NMC has provided two official email addresses to enquire about the status of their eligibility certificate applications- eligibility.regn@nmc.org.in and eligibility@nmc.org.in.
NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission has commenced the application process for obtaining the eligibility certificate required for Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) 2024 December screening test. As per the NMC official notice, the application process for obtaining FMGE 2024 eligibility certificate will close on November 4 at 6 pm. Interested candidates can apply for obtaining the FMGE 2024 eligibility certificate by visiting the official website, nmc.org.in.

The NMC official notice read, "It may be noted that this is the last opportunity to apply for the Eligibility Certificates and thereafter no further chance would be available to the candidates to apply for the Eligibility Certificates. Accordingly, all candidates are requested to submit an application after doing due diligence and checking the requisite entries scrupulously before submitting the application. An Advisory in this connection would also be issued separately shortly by Registration EMRB and would be available on the website of NMC."
FMGE 2024 Eligibility Certificate: Enquiries on application status
The NMC has provided two official email addresses for applicants to enquire about the status of their eligibility certificate applications- eligibility.regn@nmc.org.in and eligibility@nmc.org.in. Candidates have been asked to use these addresses to check their application progress.
In the official notice, the NMC stressed the mandatory requirement of file tracking number in any enquiry made regarding the eligibility certificate application. The file tracking number is generated when the application is submitted to the NMC, and it serves as a unique identifier for tracking the application’s progress.

As per the official notice, no response will be sent by the NMC to enquiries made without this file tracking number. The notice also addressed candidates who have already submitted their applications for an eligibility certificate in the past. According to the NMC, those candidates do not need to reapply. Their applications will continue to be processed, and they can follow up using the file tracking number for updates if necessary.
FMGE 2024 December session
The FMGE exam will be conducted in December 2024. The exact date for FMGE is yet to be announced. FMGE 2024 December session will be conducted in online mode. According to the FMGE 2024 exam pattern, the paper will be divided into two parts with150 questions in each. The duration of FMGE 2024 exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answer.
The FMGE is a certification test counducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Indian citizens or OCIs who have obtained their primary medical degree from a foreign institution are required to pass this exam to be eligible for registration with the NMC or a State Medical Council (SMC) to practice in India. Candidates who completed their medical degree before March 15, 2002, are exempt from taking the exam. FMGE is conducted twice annually, in June and December
