FORE School of Management organises International Conference on Sustainable Development

New Delhi: FORE School of Management (FSM), along with the International Association for Business and Society (IABS) organized FORE International Sustainable Development (FISD) conference. The Best Paper Award and the Best Case Study Award includes a cash prize of USD 500 along with certificates.

The major topics covered in the conference included: What emerging economies can learn from CSR/Business sustainability lessons in the West; Inclusive and Equitable Economic Growth; Green Marketing and Responsible Consumerism; Human Values, Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility; Role of public policy in CSR, Ethics and Sustainable Development.

The conference themed ‘Business and Society in Emerging Economies’ generated wide interest and led to the submission of a 72 research papers from around the world. Out of those 72 academic papers, 52 were shortlisted for presenting at the conference.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Shallini Taneja, faculty at FORE and convener of the seminar said, "Papers were received from a number of International colleges which includes – Trinity College Dublin, Ireland; Deakin University, Australia; Eastern Institute of Technology, New Zealand; Appalachian State University & University of New Mexico, USA; Warsaw School of Economics, Warsaw, Poland and a host of Indian institutes – IIMs; IITs; NIITs; MDI Gurgaon and others. We are also happy to have received many case studies from Indian corporate such as SRF; Power Grid Corporation; Capgemini; Magic Bus India; Everest Foundation among others in the area of CSR and Sustainable Development".
