FSM PGDM programmes aim to equip healthcare managers and working executives with industry-relevant skills in AI, digital transformation, leadership, and healthcare management.

The Foundation for Organisational Research and Education (FORE) School of Management has launched two AICTE-approved postgraduate diploma programmes: Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Healthcare and Hospital Management and PGDM for working professionals. These two programmes have been introduced to meet the growing demand for skilled managers in the healthcare and corporate sectors.
The PGDM programmes were unveiled during a launch event held at Le Meridien, Gurugram, in the presence of academic leaders, industry executives, and healthcare professionals.
The new PGDM courses are designed to strengthen its management education portfolio by focusing on technology-driven learning, leadership development, and industry collaboration.
Speaking at the event, B B L Madhukar, President, FORE School of Management, said the programmes align with India's long-term development goals.

He added, “As India progresses towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, higher education institutions have a critical responsibility to create value for businesses, society, and the nation by nurturing future-ready leaders. The launch of our PGDM in Healthcare and Hospital Management and PGDM for working professionals reflects this commitment.”
Further, he said, “While the healthcare programme is designed to develop leaders who can combine managerial excellence with empathy and technological understanding to strengthen India's healthcare ecosystem, the programme for working professionals equips experienced managers with contemporary skills in AI, digital transformation, and strategic leadership. Developed in close collaboration with industry experts, both programmes embody our commitment to academic excellence, industry relevance and lifelong learning, preparing professionals to drive innovation, inclusive growth and meaningful societal impact."
FSM Director Subir Verma said the healthcare industry is witnessing rapid transformation with the adoption of AI, connected devices, digital technologies, and data-driven care models.
Verma said, “The launch of our PGDM in Healthcare & Hospital Management and PGDM for working professionals reflects FORE School of Management's commitment to developing future-ready leaders equipped to address the evolving needs of industry and society. The healthcare sector is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by digital technologies, artificial intelligence, connected devices, and data-driven care models.”
Further, he said, “Through this programme, we aim to prepare professionals who can lead the next generation of smart healthcare systems by combining management excellence with technological innovation and patient-centric care.”
“Both programmes have been developed in close consultation with industry leaders and domain experts to ensure they remain relevant, practical, and aligned with emerging workforce needs,” he added.
Providing an overview of the courses, Shilpi Jain, Dean (Strategic Initiatives & International Accreditations), said the curriculum integrates technology-enabled and experiential learning.
Jain said, "With these two AICTE-approved programmes, our aim is to prepare future-ready professionals through a curriculum that is technology-enabled, industry-aligned and experiential. The PGDM in Healthcare and Hospital Management has been designed to develop leaders who understand both management and the evolving healthcare ecosystem. The curriculum incorporates inputs from international universities as well as healthcare practitioners, while modules on AI, data-driven healthcare, smart hospitals and live industry projects ensure students gain practical exposure and are equipped for the sector's changing needs.”
She added that the 18-month PGDM for working professionals will be offered in a blended learning format, enabling professionals to pursue higher education without taking a career break. The programme includes AI and analytics, mentorship, specialised certifications, access to a data and AI lab, and an international immersion component.
During the event, Karan Thakur, Group Vice President – Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Apollo Hospitals Group, highlighted the rapid evolution of India's healthcare sector and the increasing need for trained healthcare managers.
He said the country is expected to add nearly a million hospital beds in the coming decades, making it essential to prepare professionals who can lead AI-enabled healthcare systems, promote sustainable healthcare institutions, and support innovations such as telemedicine and home-based care.

"Programmes like this, built on strong industry-academia collaboration, will play a vital role in developing leaders who can shape not just the future of Indian healthcare, but also create scalable solutions for the Global South," he said.
Executive Board Member P. Dwarakanath said lifelong learning has become essential in today's fast-changing workplace and noted that both programmes address the changing needs of industry and society.
Meanwhile, Sanghamitra Buddhapriya, Dean and Head (Gurugram Off-Campus), said the courses were developed after extensive consultation with industry experts to ensure that graduates possess the knowledge and skills required by employers.
According to FSM, the PGDM in Healthcare and Hospital Management has been designed to prepare professionals in hospital operations, healthcare policy, health-tech innovation, and the management of smart hospitals.
