GAT-B 2025 exam today for admission to biotechnology and allied courses; things to carry

NEW DELHI : The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test - Biotechnology (GAT-B) today, April 20, in a single shift from 10 am to 1 pm. Candidates are required to carry their GAT-B 2025 admit card along with valid ID proof to the exam centre for verification purposes.
The GAT-B exam is held for admissions to department of biotechnology supported post graduate programme in biotechnology and allied courses. A total of 34 universities, including Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and SSPU, offer admissions to GAT-B qualified candidates.
Candidates are advised to reach the GAT-B exam centre at the allotted time in the admit card. Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, calculators, log tables and electronic watches with facilities of a calculator, printed or written material, bits of paper, mobile phone, Bluetooth devices, pager or any other electronic gadget to the exam centre.
However, diabetic students are allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets, fruits and a transparent water bottle to the exam hall. Students are not allowed to carry packed foods like chocolate, candy, etc, to the exam hall.
GAT-B Exam Pattern 2025: Marking scheme
The computer-based test will be held for three hours. Candidates will be given multiple-choice questions in two sections, A and B. The part A comprises 60 questions for which candidates will be given one mark for every correct answer and 1/2 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The part B will include 100 MCQs, wherein candidates will have to attempt 60 question in total. In part B, candidates will be given three marks for every correct answer, and a negative marking of one will be done for every incorrect answer.
