GAT B registration 2024 deadline extended till March 10; exam pattern

GAT B Exam 2024: Candidates can make corrections in their GAT B application form till March 13, 2024.
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B)/ Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2024 till March 10. Interested candidates can apply for GAT B 2024 through the official website, dbt.ntaonline.in.
According to the official notification, this extension is being done keeping in view of a large number of requests received by the candidates.
Candidates can make corrections in the particulars in the GAT B application form and pay the additional fee (depending on the changes made in the form) from March 12. The GAT B application correction window will close on March 13, 2024.
"The candidates are requested to undertake the corrections very carefully as no further chance of correction will be provided to the candidates after the above mentioned correction period", NTA notice read.
GAT B 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 20 at various exam centres across the country. The examination will be held in two shifts: from 9 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm.
General category and OBC candidates have to pay Rs 1,200 as GAT B application fees. Reserved category candidates can pay Rs 600 for the application form. Those applying for both GAT-B and BET 2024 exams have to pay Rs 2,400 (Unreserved categories) and Rs 1,200 (Reserved categories) respectively.
GAT B 2024 exam pattern
Part A will have 60 compulsory multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer carries one mark each. There will be a negative marking and for each wrong answer, 0.5 (half) mark will be deducted.
Part B will have 100 questions out of which the candidates have to attempt 60 questions. Each correct answer will carry three marks. There will be a negative marking and for each wrong answer, one (1) mark will be deducted.
