Check NowThe Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has started the registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 on its official GATE online application processing system (GOAPS). Candidates seeking admission to various master's and doctoral programmes can register for GATE 2027 through the official website of GATE at gate2027.iitm.ac.in. As per revised dates, the last date to submit the form without late fee is September 27, 2026.
IIT Madras will conduct the GATE 2027 examination on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027, with the results scheduled to be announced on March 19, 2026.

GATE 2027 Registration: Steps to apply
To apply for the GATE 2027, follow the steps given below:
- Visit official website of GATE at gate2027.iitm.ac.in
- Click on GOAPS and then enter the details, including personal, academic and communication
- Finish the facial registration, upload documents and make the payment
- Submit the form
- Download the confirmation PDF and take a printout for further reference

GATE 2027: Registration fees
The GATE 2027 application fee for female, SC, ST and PwD applicants is Rs 1,000 per test paper during the regular registration and Rs 1,500 during the extended period. For all other applicants, including foreign nationals, the fee is Rs 2,000 per test paper during the regular period and Rs 2,500 during the extended period.
