GPAT 2021 to be held on February 27; 5 mistakes to avoid on exam day

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) on February 27, 2021. The MPharm entrance test will be held in computer-based mode. Candidates are advised to avoid these commonly made mistakes that may affect their GPAT scores. On the basis of the GPAT exam score, admission to 39,670 Masters in Pharmacy (MPharm) seats are offered by more than 800 participating institutes.

GPAT 2021: Mistakes to be avoided on exam day

Don’t be late at GPAT exam centre 2021: Candidates are advised to reach their allotted exam centres before the reporting time in order to avoid the last-minute rush. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall after the reporting time. The details regarding the exam centres and reporting schedule have been mentioned in the GPAT admit card.

Do not forget to carry all important documents: Aspirants are required to carry all the below-mentioned documents. Aspirants failing to carry any one of the documents will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

• A hard copy of the GPAT 2021 admit card

• A passport size photograph (same as that uploaded in the application form)

• Duly filled COVID-19 self-declaration

• Anyone of the original government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar card, voter ID card, PAN card, etc.)

• PwD certificate issued by the competent authority (for a candidate claiming relaxation under PwD category)

Follow all COVID-19 advisory guidelines: The NTA has already released the COVID-19 advisory along with the GPAT admit card for all registered candidates. Authority has also listed out some essentials to carry to lower the risk of getting infected with the coronavirus. Assemble all the essentials such as mask, gloves, transparent water bottle, personal hand sanitizer and follow the rules of social distancing.

Avoid curiosity about what others know: Candidates are advised to not be considerate about what others are doing. They need to recall what they have prepared for GPAT and try to attempt accordingly.

Don’t be overconfident: By being overconfident, there are chances that aspirants may not read the instructions on the exam day, may not check the answer properly, and over-estimate his or her speed of answering the question. Just remember that overconfidence will lead to losing more marks. Aspirants are advised to read all the questions carefully before answering and not to rush.
