GSEB SSC Supplementary 2025: Gujarat Board to accept applications from schools until May 20

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has opened the application window for the secondary school leaving certificate exam or GSEB SSC supplementary exams. The board has instructed schools to submit the application and make fee payments collected from students through the official website, gseb.org or sscpurakreg.gseb.org.

A total of 7,62,485 candidates registered for the exam this year, of which 7,46,892 appeared and 6,20,532 were declared eligible to pursue higher studies. The overall pass percentage was 83.08%. The board said that it will complete the GSEB SSC best of two exams by June 12.
Only those students who have obtained the minimum marks in each have been announced pass. As per the GSEB SSC pass marks, students should obtain 7 out of 20 in the internal exam, and at least 26 out of 80 marks. Those who have scored 33 out of 100, but less than 26 in theory paper have not been marked ‘pass’ in GSEB Class 10th result 2025.
To be eligible for supplementary exams, students will have to submit an application fee of Rs 150 for appearing in one subject, Rs 215 for two, Rs 275 for three, and Rs 395 for four subjects or more. Girls and persons with disability (PwD) students are exempted from paying the fees.
The state board informed schools that it will not accept applications in person or by post. The last date to submit the application forms of students by school is May 20 up to 5 pm.
GSEB SSC ‘best of two’ exam 2025; who is eligible?
The following students will be eligible to appear for the GSEB SSC ‘best of two’ exams 2025.
- Students who have been absent in one or more subjects.
- Students who have been placed under ‘Need Improvement’ due to failure in one or more subjects.
- Students who have passed in the GSEB SSC results 2025 but wish to improve their marks.
The Gujarat Board also allows students who have failed in maths subject to change their choice from Standard Mathematics to Basic Mathematics.
