School reopening news: Haryana Chief Minister’s Office announced that schools will reopen for Classes 1 to 3 from September 20.
NEW DELHI: Haryana government has decided to reopen all government and private schools for Classes 1 to 3 from September 20, Haryana Chief Minister’s office announced on social media.
“Haryana Government has issued orders to open all government and private schools from September 20, 2021 for classes 1st to 3rd. to all schools #COVID19 The rules have to be followed for prevention. #HaryanaFightsCorona #IndiaFightsCorona,” Haryana CMO said in a social media post.

CMO also tweeted: “Students will have to take parental permission before coming to school and online classes will continue for those parents who do not want to send their children to school now.”

The government has asked schools to follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for school reopening in the state. School authorities will have to ensure social distancing and other safety measures.
The government further said that schools will reopen in blended mode (online plus offline) and those students who want to study online are allowed to do so.
No student will be forced to attend physical classes, the government added.
Earlier, on September 1, like several other states, the Haryana government also reopened schools for Classes 4 and 5. All those students who had written permission from their parents were allowed to attend classes.
The state had allowed reopening of schools for Classes 9 to 12 in the month of August followed by physical classes for Classes 6 to 8 considering the dip in COVID-19 cases.

Today, the Assam government too decided to reopen schools for Class 10 from September 20.
