HCCB to offer marketing training to 1,500 youths
Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) will provide financial and digital literacy skills to 1,200 women.

NEW DELHI : Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) has partnered with the Y4D foundation to implement development initiatives in nine villages in the Khordha district, benefiting around 32,000 people. It would also spearhead a multifaceted programme to empower 2,700 people in Odisha by offering multiple upskilling programmes.
Community development initiatives will be benefiting the following areas- Tangi Basti, Badha, Sabara Sahi, Jemadei, Mukunda Prasad, Gurujanga, Kumarbasta, Tirumal, and Bhaliabadi. This initiative will not only improve the quality of life for the people, but will also drive long-term sustainable growth in these places.
The initiatives are intended to address a variety of needs, from enhancing educational facilities to providing access to safe drinking water, creating the groundwork for a healthier, more educated society. WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) programmes are projected to reduce health-related concerns, while sustainable agriculture techniques will increase local economies and assure food security.
The Nagrik Seva Kendras (NSK) will serve as a catalyst for community participation and empowerment by providing access to services and information.
HCCB will provide financial and digital literacy skills to 1,200 women among the 2,700 people who will benefit from the upskilling programmes. It will also teach 1,500 youth through a comprehensive sales and marketing certification programme.
The training will be delivered in a classroom setting in designated sites around the country. Beneficiaries will be chosen and educated in groups according to their interests, needs, and present levels of digital and financial literacy.
Financial literacy training
The financial literacy training will cover concepts such as banking basics, account opening procedures, unified payments interface (upi) training, investment guidance, net banking, and information on various government schemes for women such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Sukanya Sam Riddhi Yojana Nari Shakti, etc.
Digital literacy training
The digital literacy will cover concepts such as mobile banking, digital market linkage, and cyber safety and security to equip these women with the necessary tools to succeed in the digital era.
Sales and marketing certification programme
The sales and marketing certification programme will be of three months and will include a 30-hour curriculum. It will provide participants an intensive learning experience that will include 6 hours of direct face-to-face interaction and 24 hours of engaging online sessions.
