HSEE 2019 on April 21; IIT Madras confirms exam date as application to begin in December

Subscribe NowNEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 6 : The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) will be conducting Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) on April 21, 2019. The HSEE 2019 conducting body, IIT Madras in an official notification has announced the exam date.
The IIT Madras has however, not announced any other exam event dates of HSEE 2019. It’s expected that the HSEE application form 2019 will be announced by second week of December, this year, followed by the announcement of official brochure of HSEE.
HSEE 2019, an entrance test administered in partly computer-based and partly offline will be held on the scheduled date of April 21, 2019 for a duration of 180 minutes.
The HSEE 2019 Part I will be held in computer-based mode where objective-type questions will be asked from four sections namely English and Comprehension Skill, Analytical and Quantitative Ability, General Studies and Environment and Ecology. The candidates will be allowed a time-duration of 150 minutes to answer the questions of HSEE 2019 Part I.
Further, the Part II of HSEE 2019 will be held offline for a maximum time-duration of 30 minutes where the candidates will have to write an essay on their answer sheets.
HSEE 2019 is expected to be conducted in as many as 14 cities across India. The exam centres of HSEE 2019 may be listed in the cities of Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram and Varanasi.
About HSEE
The Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination also known as HSEE is an undergraduate national-level entrance exam conducted by IIT Madras for admissions to integrated MA programmes on offer in the institution.
IIT Madras offers 23 seats each in each of the programmes namely, Integrated M.A. in Development Studies and Integrated M.A. in English Studies.
