Free DownloadThe Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 1) 2026 notification. IAF has revised the AFCAT 1 registration dates for 2026. Candidates can register for AFCAT 2026 from November 17 to December 14. IAF AFCAT 2026 is scheduled on January 31.

Candidates can apply for AFCAT 2026 on the official website, afcat.edcil.co.in. The application fee for AFCAT 2026 is Rs 550 plus 18% GST charges.
A total of 340 vacancies are offered for Group ‘A’ Gazetted officers in flying and ground duty posts.
IAF will issue the AFCAT 2026 admit card on January 22. Candidates will be allotted centres according to their preferences, and any requests for changes to centres, data, or slots will not be entertained.
IAF conducts AFCAT exam for Indian citizens, both men and women, to be part of the force as Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. The exam is held twice a year.
AFCAT 2026: Exam Pattern
As per the AFTCAT 2026 exam pattern, candidates will be given 2 hours to complete the exam. The paper comprises four sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning, as well as a Military Aptitude Test consisting of 100 questions and 300 marks. Candidates will be awarded 3 marks for every correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
