IBS Hyderabad sweeps Women Global Case Writing Competition 2024, bags all three awards

The Case for Women 2024: IBS Hyderabad professors Namratha, Maseeha, Kumar, and Indu, won the case titles in three categories.
NEW DELHI : The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) Business School (IBS), Hyderabad, recently made a clean sweep at global case writing competition, “The Case for Women, 2024”. The case competition was conducted by Emerald Publishing in partnership with The Case for Women, the Forté Foundation, and MBA Roundtable. The competition aims to develop high-quality teaching case material featuring women in leadership positions as protagonists.

Founder of The Case for Women, Lesley Symons said: “This year’s cases highlight the diversity of women’s leadership talent. They contain fabulous initiatives and excellent examples. Congratulations to all the winners.”
The Case for Women: Winners
The case titled ‘Maggie Timoney of Heineken: Shattering the Glass Ceiling and Forging a New Path’ authored by professor Namratha V Prasad won the first prize in the competition. The second prize went to professor Syeda Maseeha Qumer for the case titled, ‘Mira Murati: Championing Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) while tackling its Misuse and Ethical Challenges.’ The third prize was won by professors KBS Kumar and Indu Perepu for their case study titled ‘Melissa Butler and ‘The Lip Bar’ – Making Beauty Inclusive.’
Venu Gopal Rao, professor and director at IBS Hyderabad, said: “The Case Research Center (CRC) at IBS Hyderabad has the distinction of winning all major case competitions around the world.” He further congratulated the winners of The Case for Women writing competition professors – Namratha, Maseeha, Kumar, and Indu.
Venu Gopal Rao added: “I am sure this achievement will further motivate them to write cases on diverse topics. The CRC led by Sanjib Dutta has been at the forefront of writing globally acclaimed case studies used by more than 800 business schools worldwide,” read the official notice.
